There are a lot of mentors out there right now, which means choosing the right one is a critical CEO decision. I believe a successful mentorship requires the perfect mix of theoretical knowledge, genuine empathy, and actual lived experience in the trenches of your market.
I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's in Marketing, Services & Communication. I spent a decade working in large corporations that live and breathe marketing and sales. From there, I went on to found and run 3 CrossFit studios across 10 different physical builds—each coming with its own unique set of operational challenges. I also hold an Applied Kinesiology Degree that incorporates in-depth psychology and trauma knowledge, because I know that business bottlenecks almost always mirror personal beliefs.
Whoever you work with should know enough about how business works internationally so they can really help. From setting up your business, to the cultural behaviors around sales to the tax system I have found differences around the world. I deeply believe in building a business that actually serves your life, so I make sure to practice what I preach. When I am not fixing business models, you will usually find me out on a trail with my dog and my mountain bike, reading a good book, or getting creative with sewing and upcycling projects. I appreciate a good comedy, and I take my Italian coffee machine very seriously—I am continuously trying to perfect my latte art.
